Lion's Head Lookout Trail

Lion's Head Loop via Bruce Trail is a 15.3km loop trail near Northern Bruce Peninsula, Ontario.
We started this hike pretty late in the day.  It took us about 3.5 hours to drive there and it was definitely too late to do the entire loop, so we started the trail unsure of how far we would actually get.

We parked at the McCurdy Drive parkette and started this trail clockwise (which I highly recommend) which allows you to experience the lookout points earlier, and continue on the loop if you chose to do so.  From there, we followed the white trail marks to the first lookout (yes there are quite a few lookouts close together so don't turn back after the first one).
It took us about an hour to get to the first lookout, walking pretty slowly and stopping along the way.

One of our many stops was Lion's Head Pothole, a pothole formed more than 12,000 years ago during the last ice age! It's a pretty cool thing to experience so make sure keep an eye out for it on the trail.

Just a little bit further down the trail, we came across the first scenic lookout.
